Charleston by Design, in its third year, is a design-focused fundraising event in Charleston, South Carolina, supporting Historic Charleston Foundation. Through designer tours, talks, and exclusive experiences, the event raises vital funds to preserve Charleston’s architectural and cultural character.

Few colors carry as much history as indigo, and few places feel that weight more than Charleston. Indigo: Variations in Blue, curated by Tushara Bindu Gude, Ph.D., unites eight artists inside the preserved "as-found" Aiken-Rhett House c. 1820 in a powerful meditation on memory, migration, and meaning — expressed in every shade of blue.

Now in its 79th year, The Charleston Festival opens the doors of Charleston's most extraordinary private homes, gardens, and historic landmarks for 25 days of tours, lectures, music, and Lowcountry-inspired experiences. Every ticket supports the Foundation's mission-driven work.
