Valentine’s Day in the Holy City with Bulldog Tours

Historic Charleston Foundation and Bulldog Tours have partnered to offer a unique Valentine’s Day experience in the Holy City. The afternoon begins with a walking tour of the historic South of Broad neighborhood, featuring stories of love and romance – both triumphant and tragic – in Charleston. Then experience the Nathaniel Russell House, lit by candles, and learn about courtship and marriage in the 18th and 19th centuries, when weddings were often the highlight of the social season. Finally, the tour concludes with refreshments, including a Madeira tasting – exploring the history of Charleston’s love affair with this fortified wine. Space is limited, and tickets must be purchased in advance for this 21+ tour.

This tour begins outside of The Mills House, 115 Meeting Street, and will end with Madeira and light refreshments at the Nathaniel Russell House Museum, 51 Meeting Street.
