Hampstead Commons Street Scenes, Buildings, and Houses

Description

Thirty-seven color negatives (35mm) featuring mostly commercial buildings and street scenes mostly on Meeting Street between Line Street and Columbus Street and vicinity. Sleeve labeled "Hampstead Commons."

1: View south on Meeting Street from 476 Meeting to just south of Columbus Street. 464 Meeting and 460 Meeting at right; Pic'n Pay shoe store (458 Meeting) just beyond. 476 Meeting and 474 Meeting at left, both now gone.

2: Church's Chicken (492 Meeting) located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Meeting and Line Streets.

3: KFC (483 Meeting) located near the southwest corner of the intersection of Meeting and Line Streets. (Now a Pizza Hut.)

4: View east on Line Street from Meeting.

5: Possibly the view west on Line Street from Meeting.

6: View of 496 Meeting, 498 Meeting, and 502 Meeting from across the street. Entrance to Interstate 26 and US 17 in background.

7: View of 491 Meeting, 493 Meeting (Milligan's Barber Shop), and 495 Meeting.
