Commercial Club Building (101 Meeting Street)

Description

Engraving of the Commercial Club Building (101 Meeting Street), late 19th or early 20th century. Men on horseback, pedestrians, and woman on bicycle on the street; a trolley car is depicted. On wall to left of building is "A.W. Todd, Architect." Notation " H.T. Zacharias, Builders" is written on the print. Print measures approx. 9¼" x 7½"; matted to a total dimension of 14" x 11".

Building was demolished in 1965. Need to confirm date of construction; staff is doubtful that Zacharias truly was the builder but he may have done renovations. Now the site of the O.T. Wallace County Office Building.
