For 77 years Historic Charleston Foundation has celebrated houses, history, and culture through its annual spring programming. Become an insider with tours of some of the most beautiful private houses and gardens in Charleston, SC, and discover the intersection of preservation and design through exciting lectures, workshops, concerts, and social gatherings at some of Charleston’s most historic landmarks.
Formerly known as the Festival of Houses & Gardens, the updated spring program titled, The Charleston Festival, is a celebration of the culture, history, style, art, design and preservation of the Holy City through a variety of programs, tours and events. In addition, our opening weekend Charleston by Design will focus on all things design and preservation for the first four days of the Festival – look out for more details about upcoming Designer Vignettes at the Aiken-Rhett House Museum and the esteemed, Design in Mind Lecture Series.
Also during The Charleston Festival, we are thrilled to present Jill Hooper’s original works of art on display at the Aiken-Rhett House Museum for the duration of the Festival. To accompany this exhibit, Jill will offer a variety of tours, programs and workshops.
