Join us in the historic Second Presbyterian Church for Illumination Charleston’s enlightening Design in Mind Lecture Series. Each lecture is held in the historic Second Presbyterian Church.

To kick off our four-part series celebrating preservation and design, we are thrilled to welcome Ron Woodson and Jaime Rummerfield, the co-Founders of Save Iconic Architecture (SIA) and Principals of the Los Angeles interior design firm Woodson & Rummerfield’s House of Design.  SIA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring awareness and action to preserving endangered architectural and significant cultural structures through landmarking, preservation and education.

Jaime holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Design from the College of Architecture at Arizona State University and Ron studied Interior Design at UCLA. Both are well versed advocates in preserving architectural history and champions of carrying forward our architectural heritage by putting a spotlight on mindful preservation. Their landmarking efforts include protecting notable works by Richard Neutra, Paul R. Williams, Rudolph Schindler, Gordon Kauffman and Donald Wexler. Working in the California design community from day to day, they see these relevant endangerment and demolition issues frequently, first hand. Far too many times they witness, helplessly, the demise of a special property. Once they are gone they are lost forever.
