Murray Boulevard, Charleston, S.C.

Description

Postcard featuring Murray Boulevard, looking west. What may be the partially built Fort Sumter Hotel is seen in the background. The edge of White Point Gardens at right. Pedestrians on the sidewalks. Car in the foreground.

Back of postcard is postmarked September 20, 1924, and is captioned: "Named for one of Charleston's esteemed citizens, Mr. A.B. Murray, whose generosity made this development possible. This boulevard is a successful reclamation project, and is rapidly becoming one of the most beautiful drives in the country."
