Marshy Area and Barre Street Houses

Description

B&W photograph of houses in an area loosely bounded by what's now Lockwood Drive, Wentworth Street, Gadsden Street, and Bennett Street.

Features a marshy, undeveloped lot in the foreground located just south of Wentworth Street, now the site of the Harleston Place development. also features a two-story house (center left) that would have been located at the corner of Barre and Wentworth Streets, now gone. Buildings in the background at right include 37 Barre, 39 Barre, and 69 Barre Street, and at left in the background West Point Mill and The Leon Banov County Health Center (334 Calhoun Street).
