Business envelope of the C.T. Lowndes & Co. featuring an engraving of building (14 Broad Street), south (front) elevation.

Addressed to W.S. Manning, Esq., Charleston, S.C., c/o Smythe & [illegible], dated Dec. 30, 1881. Three cent postage stamp affixed. Postmarked Dec. 31 on front. Stamped "Jan 3 6 a.m." and "Received December 31th" on back.

The building has been significantly altered and is now incorporated into the Wells Fargo Bank building spanning most of the entire block of Broad Street.
