B&W photograph (scan) of 55 Wentworth Street (United Dry Cleaners) and 57 Wentworth Street (Fenwick Rooms), street (front) elevation. These buildings were demolished in 1953 for the construction of a restaurant.
Both buildings were built on lots that were originally part of Rhettsbury, that were sold by a descendant of Col. William Rhett in 1844. Soon after, "the two substantial and typical single houses were built in the classic revival style by Samuel Meeker and Leonard Weissinger." (News & Courier, 12/27/1953).
