42 Meeting Street (Ohlandt's Grocery Store) Before Remodeling

Description

Nine photographs of Ohlandt's Grocery Store (42 Meeting Street), both interior and exterior shots, taken prior to remodeling. Donor of the photographs is the granddaughter of Mary Howard, who had the house renovated and returned to residential use ca. early 1960s. The work was likely done the DeCosta Co.

a: West (front) elevation.

b: Oblique view, west and south (piazza) elevations. Small auxiliary building at right. Man walks on sidewalk in front of building.

c: Oblique view, west and north elevations. Also shows the street corner (Meeting and Water Streets) and a view east on Water Street showing the south side of street.
