We are grateful for the support of the over 700 volunteers who support us annually by working with our student field trips; our two house museums, including our garden at the Nathaniel Russell House Museum; and with our two largest public education programs, the Charleston Antiques Show and the Festival of Houses and Gardens.
Formerly known as the Festival of Houses & Gardens The Charleston Festival is the largest fundraising and educational event supporting Historic Charleston Foundation. The month-long annual festival provides both visitors and volunteers with the rare opportunity to explore the private gardens and interiors of some of the finest residences in the American South. With more than 1,000 volunteer time-slots available, Historic Charleston Foundation relies on the generosity of our volunteers. In return, our volunteers receive various benefits to enjoy during The Charleston Festival and help support the Foundation in our mission-driven work. Visit the dedicated website to learn more about the Festival and volunteer opportunities. If you have any questions, please contact Volunteer Coordinator, Shelley Keith.
