Coffee drinking is mainstream and ubiquitous in 2021. Over 150 million Americans describe themselves as daily coffee drinkers. Not too long ago, coffee drinking was considered a dangerous health risk and there were serious attempts to wean Americans from their caffeine addiction. Today, there are over 14,000 Starbucks locations in the United States.
