Reproduced from a classic 19th century painted hall chair from the Aiken-Rhett House and in the collection of Historic Charleston Foundation. The chair features saber back legs and turned front legs that support the tulip-shaped back, wood seat and frame. Such chairs lined the entries and vestibules of antebellum town and country houses.
