The original set of these English Regency chairs, c.1800, was owned by Gov. Robert Francis Withers Alston, the second owner of the Nathaniel Russell House. The back features four delicately interlaced circles. A cane seat, covered with tasseled upholstered pad, rests on saber legs with ring detailing.
