The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes (Hardback)
Written by one of Charleston's "favorite sons," the country bunny attains the exalted position of Easter Bunny in spite of her responsibilities as the mother of twenty-one children. The book, pubished in 1939 has never been out of print. It is believe that DuBose Heyward, author of Porgy and Bess, based the tale upon a childhood story he learned from his mother.
