First House Tour Hostesses

Description

At a meeting in March 1948, the late H. Phillip Staats and the late Clelia Mathewes Waring address a meeting of volunteer hostesses for the first annual house tours organized by HCF. those attending were:

Front row, L to R: Mrs. Elliott Hutson, Mrs. William F. Prioleau, Mrs. Edward F. Parker, Mrs. S. Henry Edmunds (Frances Edmunds), and Mrs. Walter H. Gussenhoven.

Second row, L to R: Mrs. W.M. Martin, Mrs. A. Franz Witte, Mrs. Leon R. Drake, Mrs. Augustine T. Smythe, Mrs. Frank P. Rhett, Mrs. Arthur M. Swanson, and the late Mrs. William G. Dodds.
