HCF Young Advocates

Historic Charleston Foundation (HCF) Young Advocates is a group of active supporters who are dedicated to promoting and developing the Foundation’s mission through volunteerism, fundraising and social events; all of which support preservation initiatives of the Foundation.  HCF Young Advocates seek to preserve and maintain Charleston’s unique character and to help ensure that preservation remains a strong presence in Charleston’s future.

Why Join HCF Young Advocates?

Young Advocate dues help support HCF as we strive to preserve and protect the historic character of Charleston and its surroundings.

Through public advocacy, educational outreach and preservation initiatives such as our Revolving Fund, Neighborhood Impact Initiative, and easements program, HCF has succeeded in protecting many important architectural landmarks throughout the Lowcountry. HCF also preserves the material culture of Charleston through the interpretation of its collections and two museum sites, the Nathaniel Russell House, c. 1808 and the Aiken-Rhett House, c. 1820.

It is our goal to foster a new generation of preservationists that can act as ambassadors for HCF in the community.
