Mapping Charleston
The "Hartnell Maps" found below use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology to compile various types of information in a new and interactive way.

Cameron Hartnell began this project in 2004 while an intern in the US/ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments & Sites) Summer Intern Program at Historic Charleston Foundation.  Working with HCF and Clemson University staff, the project sought to produce a conglomerate, 21st century map of the peninsula in the tradition of the 1949 Halsey Map.
